2009 Subaru Impreza

These are a few pics of Steve’s Subaru Impreza nice looking install.

Feedback from Steve: “Hi Bill, I finally got to doing my Torqamp install.  This was a NA 2.5 Impreza Outback sport and I'm a 7000' elevation, so mostly this gets back to sea level hp plus a little...  It works great!  The boost, although not a ton, comes in right away and is super useful.  Right now I have it set up as simply as possible with the switch under the throttle triggering at about 80%.  This is great for traffic driving with little romps here and there.  I'll be installing a switch to go from that to direct throttle signal input, which should start it spinning sooner.  I still have a little work to do installing a cold air panel and cooling ducts (no more fog lights) for the motor and esc.  So far, they run cooler than I expected.  The install was mostly a maze of choices... where to put the control box and where to hide the insane length of control wiring they give you.  I did battery to the rear and put the torqamp box where the battery was.  The extra cables hang down by the washer reservoir. Then stuff like pcv and evap and a bypass valve that they never mention in the manual, but is apparently a common turbo thing.  I'll send more on my install and some better pictures once it's finished all the way.  For now I love it.  It's way more fun and less dangerous than my wrx was.  The torque comes on low and maybe flattens higher up, so you're not having to shift right at max hp.  It is a noisy little howl, though.  I'll be doing some hoodliner and firewall soundproofing.  Also gauges for AFR and boost.  So far I haven't had a check engine light and it seems to run perfectly.  I'll keep you posted.  Also I'll send back the parts I didn't use.  Thank you for your help with this!”
