This 1937 International Farmall was donated to the museum in the year 2000 by Bill’s good friend Wayne Tolman. The only caveat was the tractor was sitting in the middle of Wayne’s family farm - in Salmon, Idaho! It had not moved in many decades and the wheels were rusted into the ground so badly they had large, foot-long flat spots so that the tractor wouldn’t even roll. Bill, Chris and Logan made the trip with a flat bed trailer and fortunately were able to get it loaded with the help of the Tolman family front end loader. After getting it back to New Mexico, it was found the rear wheels are fairly rare and, of course, expensive. After locating two and getting all new rubber, the tractor was painstakingly restored. The magneto was in very poor condition, but family friend, Alvin Davidson just happened to have a new one he was willing to sell for a good price. Once the tractor was running again, we found out the serial number is unique. Farmall records are missing roughly 100 serial numbers between 1937 and 38. No one knows what these tractors were or if they were even built. Our serial number is right in the middle of the missing sequence, making it the only one known to exist.
