Floyde and Bill found this car in a barn after having been tipped off about its existence by a friend of Bill’s. They went to look at it and finding it in many pieces, but in relatively good shape, made a deal with the owner and moved it to our Las Cruces location for initial restoration work. It came with many extra parts, and after a time it was moved to the Mimbres shop where we continued work for several years.

Floyde always loved Buicks. This restoration needed all of our skills and tricks to bring back into shape. Good friend and artist, Victor Zizumbo, lovingly restored many of the body panels, soft top and did the final immaculate paint work at his shop in Palomas, Mexico.

This car outlived three different owners during restoration. The first two died of heart attacks and the last one died of old age. Then Floyde and Bill bought it. Floyde passed away in 2019 from brain cancer never having heard the engine run that he completely rebuilt. Bill took it the rest of the way, but will never start the engine.
