All older vehicles have a story to tell, but this 1973 Toyota Land Cruiser has more than most! First purchased by Floyde Adams, it was then sold to his father (Grampa) Bill, then sold to Grampa Bill’s son, Bob, then back to Grampa Bill, then to His grandson Bill, then back to Floyde and finally to Floyde’s grandson Nolan (pictured here with his family).
The Land Cruiser has come with a caveat to each purchaser: it can never be sold out of the family. It has been in (and retrieved from) most of the mountain ranges of southern New Mexico when it had it’s stock 6-cyliner inline engine and manual transmission. Now it resides in Virginia and is ready to tackle all the eastern mountains with a Chevy 305 under the hood mated to a 350 GM automatic transmission. This restoration was a multi-year labor of love.
