Relatively rare original automatic transmission model (over 80% of 240z's came with manual transmissions). Everything on this beauty has been kept original except for the exhaust system and fuel delivery system for performance reasons. This car was lovingly restored by our professionals bringing you a top-notch example of the original 240z, one of the finest mass produced sports cars of all time. This was a rust-free New Mexico car and then back to its owners in Texas.
What we did:
Exterior: Complete restore with proper OEM paint #, NOS (new old stock) emblems to replace any damaged or missing emblems, new restored triple chrome front & rear bumpers, new tires (all 5 including spare) with nitrogen fill mounted on OEM rims (painted to match) with original hubcaps in excellent condition.
Interior: New OEM seats & covers, new OEM carpet (proper cut, style and color), new undercoating inside and out, newly restored dash plus custom cover and all gauges operational INCLUDING clock!
Mechanical: OEM 6 cylinder engine with no leaks (new valve cover gasket) and 160+ psi compression, new plugs, wires, cap, rotor, points & condensers (original dual point distributor), genuine Redline carburetor conversion kit featuring 2 European Weber 32/36 DGV 5A carbs with Cannon intakes freshly rebuilt, tuned and balanced including K&N style filters, (replaces the original and not very good Mikuni OEM carbs and single filter). It has a new header with all new high performance 2" exhaust, new brakes, wheel cylinders and master cylinder, new starter, battery and cables, new radiator and hoses, new fuel system including renewed and coated fuel tank, new fuel pump and fuel lines. Transmission renewed with nice firm shifts in all gears.
